April 10-11, 56 teams- 46 East, 3 West, 7 Neutral. Pretty weather after it rained Thursday night/Friday morning. Water level was about 3' low due to continuing repair on the dam. Water in the lake was a little murky, most of the suckers were gigged within view of the gigging flats in the old creek. Big fish was gigged by the dam. Jared Davis and Michael Johnson had 896 pts the first night but were penalized 20% (179.2 pts) because they were 1 min. late. They would have finished 3rd if they hadn't been penalized.
It was held at Old Eucha for the 2nd year in a row. Mainly because the lake was low, but also because the creek had shifted and it would have been too shallow to take off from the bank by the gigging flats.
Rule changes allowed 30 hp motors to be used in the tournament this year and Red Horse changed back to 5 pts per pound.
Two new traveling trophies were made this year. The old one will be retired to the museum.
Shane Kenney won the boat and trailer (1448 Southfork).
